The subsidy is uncapped and applies to homes, small businesses, and community facilities.

The Australian government’s Cheaper Home Batteries Program, announced as part of the Australian Government’s $2.3 billion renewable energy initiative, aims to make home battery systems more affordable. Starting July 1, 2025, the program offers a 30% discount on battery installations for households, businesses, and community facilities, including those with existing or new rooftop solar systems.
